Sunny Studio Birthday Blog Hop

Hello everybody and welcome to the Sunny Studio Stamps 2nd Birthday Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the wonderful Nina-Marie Trapani!

In honor of this special event, we'll show you the new Holiday Release and you will be able to Pre-order the new products although the official release date is on September 29th. And there will be prizes, of course! Just be sure to read the information at the bottom of this post.

But enough talking for now, let's get to my card :)

Two weeks ago, I read that because of the many sun eruptions it would be possible to eventually see aurora borealis in our region. Unfortunately, it rained all the time, so we couldn't see anything. But it inspired me to create my own aurora borealis background on this card!

I first masked off the bottom part of a white cardstock panel. Then I applied Distress Inks with an ink blending tool. I added white droplets with a brush and let everything dry. Now I removed the mask and stamped the hole. I colored the inside to make it look like a reflection of the sky and adhered the panel to the card.

Next, I stamped the cute husky and the present, colored the images with Copics and die-cut them with the matching dies. After I had adhered them to the card with foam tape, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it.

What do you think? The husky is adorable, don't you agree? The set it is from is called Polar Playmates and the present is from Playful Polar Bears. You will find all the new products HERE.

For your chance to win a $25 gift code to the Sunny Studio Stamps Store, please leave a comment on my blog before Monday 11:59 pm PDT. And also leave comments on the other stops of the blog hop! Rainbow Card - Clean & Simple

Hi sweet friends! I love love love MFT, so I am back with my last entry to this year's MFT Card Design Superstar Contest. This time for the category Clean & Simple Genius.

CAS cards are my favorites, but it's not that easy to create a card that is CAS, but not boring. And often they look simple, but were a lot of work nevertheless. Like this one:

I stamped the yeti onto a panel of white cardstock, colored it with Copics and stamped the sentiment. Now I colored the edges of a white card front with Copics and adhered the panel to the card. I die-cut the stars, colored them one by one and adhered them to the card. This took quite a while :)

I hope you like my card! Thank you for stopping by!

Foxy Birthday Card - Coloring With Colored Pencils

Hello again! I made another card for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest, this time for the Coloring Virtuoso category. Lately, I enjoy coloring my images with Prisma Pencils and especially on Kraft cardstock! While playing with this cute image, I couldn't help but smile all the time:

I stamped the images with light brown ink before coloring everything. To make the foxy look really fluffy, I flicked my pencils a lot to create her fur.

Thank you so much for visiting today! Happy Weekend!
